Rosetta Stone May Be Going...

BUT we are trying out an online language company that may be a reasonable replacement. Please take a few minutes to try it out and comment here or email Sylvia and Kathy your comments. It has some amazing features, but fewer languages than Rosetta Stone.

NOTE: This is only a trial and not yet available to our customers, so you won't find it on our public web page. Don't share the log-on information with the public. Thanks.

The Tell Me More trial has failed. Please bring back Rosetta Stone. Tell Me More has too few language offerings -- by and large, it's the traditional cap-and-gown fodder. Moreover, the praxis stuff in Tell Me More is trite. Finally, Tell Me More is a great marketing tool for Windows since that would seem to be its preferred protocol. Rosetta Stone, on the other hand, was (admittedly inelegantly) verbose even on Linux.

Hello Anonymous,
Your review of Tell Me More is appreciated, but it would be great to know hwo you are so we could discuss your experiences with the product.
We can't bring back Rosetta Stone as they stopped offering remote access to their products, meaning the customer would have to come in to use it. This makes the product useless to home learners, which is the majority of users. We don't have the space or computers to encourage inhouse use. We would have preferred to keep Rosetta Stone as it was very popular. But alas, they made a business decision.
This doesn't mean the Tell Me More is a better or even good product, but it is something to offer the customer. We are exploring other products as well through CALIFA, our consortium.
I hope you read this and get some clarity about our decisions. Kathy
